New dental office layout in unoccupied 800 SF medical office space unit located in existing mixed-use residential building in Elmhurst, NY.  Program called for layout inclusive of three operatory exam rooms, office, reception, lab, waiting room and ADA restroom.  The non-orthogonal existing space presented challenges in maximizing functional space in limited square footage.  In the design, the use of semi-transparent glass partitions at operatory spaces and the combining of reception and waiting areas to create an open entry/reception area allowed for an open and spacious procession sequence from point of entry, through to the more private areas of the dental office.
